Popstars.

Photo and video editing at www.OneTrueMedia.com
These are a few pop stars, i have made this slide show to show you what a pop stars image is like, i have showed you how they each vary from different images as pop is a very unique genre there is no limits and pop stars express this through their appearance.

The saturdays,

this is an example of a well known pop band who are seen as idols for the older generations. They are nothing like the spice girls or any other cheesy pop band.

Research: Magazines.

The magazines color scheme is very basic; it's pink yellow and white, the color doesn't really bring attention to the magazine it only gives a sort of unprofessional and childish appearance. In my magazine i do not want my color scheme to give this effect i want a more classy pop appearance targeting an older audience whereas this magazine is for a very young ages around 9-16 years of age however my magazine will be targeted at 16-21 year olds, it will be for girls and people who are very interested in the actual music so we won't have games, word searches, gossip, and the most best looking men, To avoid this yet still have an interesting magazine i will need to involve gossip and talk of the appearance of the artist yet still mainly focusing on the artists music, their achievements and so on. The magazines website is situated at the top of this magazine i feel that this is a very good idea as people can clearly and easily see and find the website i will bring this idea into my magazine. The price and barcode is in the magazines design its very hard to see and i think that this is a bad idea as a new magazine people will not know the price of my magazine i want to put it in the corner where people can clearly see the price because if they cannot it may lead them to reject buying the magazine. The Masthead is has a bubble looking affect i feel this is very immature and for younger ages so i will avoid using this type of font for my masthead.

Who is it for?

Blue eiffel 65 here they are marketed as a very cheesy
looking photo this is what i don't want.

In this post I will tell you all about who my magazine is for, why it's for them and how.
Firstly the magazine is for the age ranges of 16-21 I want to make my magazine interesting to the younger generations as my music will be aimed at teenagers who like pop music.

The specific bands that have helped me choose what type of magazine I want to do are: The Saturdays, The goo-goo dolls and other pop bands, I chose this as I feel that pop is always targeted as very young girls and the people of today lack the knowledge of knowing that pop bands can also be adult related bands, that these bands can create good up to date un-cheesy music as many insist that pop is, they only see songs such as blue by Eiffel 65 as pop, I want to make people realise that pop has came a long way since then and is now up to date and ready to rate ten out of ten.

I will make it for the older generations by creating a classy magazine that has a new band which is pop but not the stereo-typical version of a pop band it will be a band which is classy fashionable and an attainable  role model for ages 16-21 not ages from 5-10 as many pop bands are.
